I exercise almost everyday now because I can squeeze in a 30 minute class between working and parenting. I like your instructions for doing exercises properly. Love all your classes as they are all different - never feels repetitive or boring. Also, you have a great personality.
The classes are awesome. Really enjoy the challenges you set out for us. It has helped so much with my mental health. I enjoy that the classes are always different and never the same. The biggest benefit for me, is when I am stressed, I can do a class and it chills me out and that helps me be a better mom.
I really rely on the 30 minute classes at lunch. It fits in with work and isn't so long that I feel guilty distracting the kid with screen time. I'm exercising more now than before the shut down!
I love the classes - I am able to do more now because I can jump on whatever my work schedule is and you are absolutely one of the best in all aspects of teaching, however the one that suits me personally really well is how you’re able to show modifications as I would be one of your more mature students. You are real, funny, inspiring - so grateful to have this for both my physical and mental health – I feel blessed, thank you.

It’s great! The flexibility allows me to get in more classes now. I have been splitting up my day working from home and doing the lunch time classes. I like signing up and committing to attend them live, but if something comes up, I can always do a class later - no excuses anymore! Also, if I’m feeling extra motivated the library is stacked with more classes to choose from any time I like. Thank you!
Online classes have been so beneficial for both my physical and mental health. The thing I love most is the flexibility of being able to go back and do a class you missed on your own time. Sometimes my work day can be a little unpredictable, but having so many options means I get a great workout or yoga class in every day no matter what. Thank you!
I love the flexibility! As someone who is trying to balance my work schedule, my husband's work schedule and two 4 year olds, it can be hard to commit to a specific time. I also appreciate that it even exists - that you, Mel Martell, exist. That you have found a way to create a space where people like me can come and feel good about what they can do, and ok about what they can’t (instead of feeling defeated and guilty), inside and outside of the gym.

I had a knee scope on March 10, right before the world upside down. Stride has been great to rehab my knee and rebuild my quad...which disappeared. Couldn’t do bear crawls or lunges until now and feeling strong. Been able to stay in shape and rehab from home.

I love the flexibility of online classes. I can do as many as I like with a lot of different class options. It's great for someone who can't find the time to go to the gym or a workout. Parents with young children at home that you can't find a sitter for. This makes it as easy as a simple click on one of the videos. Not to mention the owner and instructor Mel Martell for Stride is amazing at what she does and the community she has built is so welcoming even online. There's no reason not to sign up and help support a local business.
The online classes have been the highlight of many of my days during this pandemic. Having access to the classes has allowed me to still feel connected to the Stride family and see and hear you and listen to your daily chats.
If I happen to miss the live class, I can easily access the saved classes online. Such a nice option!!! And, as a result, I actually workout more often!

It’s been a while since I was able to incorporate working out, simultaneously with supporting a great friend, because of my never-ending unpredictable schedule. Between work, school and exercising a puppy, who is also on a strict schedule, it’s tough. I’m also extremely partial to the 30 minute classes, because I can squeeze them in easily, and simply double up on days whenever I can! I really appreciate still coming online and seeing my friends names pop up, listening to your stories and feeling like we are truly there together, even though we aren’t which helps with accountability for me. Sometimes even the travel time to and from gyms can deter me from going but being able to just pop on and keep going about my day has been a game-changer for me, in terms of my consistency. I do look forward to the times I can fit an actual class together in, but I realistically know that even when things open up, those won’t be as often as I’d like. Plus, I love the knowledge you give, and more simply... you and all that you do!
I may not be attending the classes when you are streaming them live but have been taking advantage of the taped classes. The classes are keeping me motivated and positive during this time. It has been a great outlet to maintain my physical and mental health. Also by following your techniques is helping me do the exercises properly. If I was doing them on my own I may have a higher chance of injury due to improper techniques. Thank you Mel for offering this great service.

Honestly, I love Stride Online. The one great thing I’ve gotten out of this situation is consistency. I am LOVING working out everyday, and multiple times a day. I sign up in advance and that also helps me because my phone gives me a 30 minute reminder before hand.
Other than correctly executed movement from a tremendous leader, Stride classes have given me the motivation to keep moving forward when everything in life seemed to come to a screeching stop. Keeping a schedule aids in keeping on top of mental health and I am so very thankful to have been keeping a schedule with Stride classes - it's that part of my life right now that I can control and be disciplined with after so much other things have crumbled at my feet.
My self esteem and confidence grows with every Stride class I take. Seeing other women doing so well and reaching milestones on their little fitness journey makes me proud to have shared time and space with them.
Having the flexibility and the availability of the real-time workouts, along with being able to retrieve the workouts on my schedule has really been wonderful! As we enter into week seven of this challenging season we are in, having Mel and her fitness classes and community has helped me get through these long days! Being able to do one or more 30 minute workouts daily sets me up for a successful day, improved mindset, and more restful sleep. I’m one of the older members and haven’t done anything like this before. After following Mel since these online session started I’m thinking I missed a lot over the years...I’ve gone into a zone to get through this tragic event and the online STRIDE classes that Mel does keeps me in touch with the outside world. She brings life, her life, to the sessions which embeds the power that exercise has over our well being. If I didn’t follow her fitness classes I’d be heading on the road to incapacity. She gets me off my ass. I’m totally enjoying the opportunity to push myself, without anybody watching.

The online classes allow me to complete more classes than normal. I can do the classes on my days off, and catch up on favourites that I may have missed because I was working... You have always provided us with the opportunity to stretch our interest and try new things by offering a variety of classes and exercises in them... on the other side of the coin you are helping us to maintain a sense of our normal routine. Not just having the similar types of classes at the similar times as the studio, but we get to see/hear/interact with you and that allows us to still feel connected with you and each other. I am just so thankful that you went all out to find a way to provide us a service. You’ve been working very hard over these weeks and it is very appreciated!
